Active Antenatal Workshops

Service Description

This is a practical workshop focused on active birth and how to be a practical birth partner. You will practice effective and nurturing massage and rebozo techniques together, learn all about the birthing body and how to work with it as a mother and a birth partner, along with antenatal education including birth options and birth plans. We will introduce basic birth breathing so you will know how to move and breathe through your birth, and discuss birth physiology in an accessible way with practical techniques for you both to support this. A little intro to Hypnobirthing is also included. Designed to leave you both feeling prepared, confident, supported, knowledgeable about your options & rights, & completely in tune with each other's needs & feelings around pregnancy, birth & beyond. (Johnathan, couples workshop attendee) This can be booked as a private Couples or Multiple Birth Partners course and can then be tailored to your needs. More personalised areas we could cover can include water birth, abdominal birth, recovering from past trauma when preparing for birth and many many more. Private workshops have the option of being delivered in the comfort of your own home too if within the Brecon to Hay or Brecon to Abergavenny area, or online, and can be delivered as a 4 hour block or split into 2 x 2 hour sessions to suit you.
